DAS canvases offer an exceptional product at an affordable price, using only the highest quality materials. The canvas itself is created using 1% natural long fiber cotton, woven with double warp yarns and single weft yarns to ensure a stable structure suitable for various painting techniques. Unlike other canvases, DAS canvas is not rinsed with alkaline, allowing it to maintain its natural tone and flexibility. The wooden frames used in DAS canvases are constructed from warp-resistant timber that has been stored for six months under natural conditions. The wood is then soaked, degreased, and kiln-dried to ensure a strong and sturdy frame. The canvas fabric is primed three times with an acid-free acrylic ground (known as acrylic gesso), which seals and protects the canvas and creates a receptive surface for paint to adhere to. This ensures the longevity of your painting.
